What’s your top summer trend?!

This is my first post!

Welcome Everyone!! I had been thinking for a long time of doing a blog where I could share my experiences abroad this summer. Thanks to Pretty Pleased I took the initiative and.. - although I should be studying for my last final next Wednesday lol - .. I thought it was the perfect time to create my own blog! As some of you may know, this summer I'm going back to the US to be an intern at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. I am REALLY excited about it. Not just for the fact that I will be with my boyfriend again [he is American, and so our relationship is a tough one, nevertheless, we've been together for 2 years and a half and I'm the happiest duckie ever!] but because I'll live in the US once more! So here I will post my experiences and so family and friends can catch up on my life! (ps. yes, it will be in Spanish... sorry!)

So anyways.... this post is dedicated to Pretty Pleased, a really cutiepatootie website that I came across few months ago and that I have already read all their posts!

Yesterday, they were asking what was our summer hit for this hottielicious 2010.. I must admit it hasn't been easy to decide what I love the most.. Summer scarves, old golden earrings combined with dirty gold and turquoise blue necklaces, straw purses,... What I can make out of all this, is that whatever I like, I like it big!

High heels covering the whole foot or summer leather sandals; skinny dark blue jeans or short jeans; a long shirt that can work as a dress; always matching everything with an "American jacket" (that's how it is called in Spain), etc etc. Those are the some hits of this season. Some European looks you would find along the streets, but also international looks that are all over the world.

However, I wanted to highlight something different. Something that had been in stores for a long time, and that now it seems to catch up again: Hair accessories!! Last summer we had those chic headbands that gave a hippie look, but yet they were so elegant. And this summer 2010 seems like fashionists haven't given up on the imagination. Handbands attached to flowers is something I've been seen lately quite a lot and can't help but love it!

Flowers are back... yes!!! It gives us summer fresh looks, it also brings color to our facial expression, and you can combine it as many ways as you like it.

Big black flowers on the lower part of our head makes it perfect for a romantic date out. Colorful clips are useful either to look chic while walking around the city, as to be practical when you go to the beach and you need to remove the hair from your face. They might be thought as a bridal accessory, but it hasn't to be so at all.

I was so glad when I walked in at this little boutique in Spain last week, and I found a whole shelf full of hair clips, all from different sizes, colors and materials! My wallet was not that glad, you know.. But sometimes "you gotta do what you gotta do!" And What I did was buy like 4 different flower clips, all of them so girly, so cute and so perfect for my summer outfits!

That must definitely be my top summer trend, and therefore here I made a collage with some cool hair clips that I've found online, and that I would definitely buy if I found them! O

Oh, by the way! The one on the right top is me - Holleeeeeerrrr!!! <3
